If you do just one thing for your local visibility, make it this. A Google Business Profile is the free listing that puts you on Google Maps and in the local search results — and most businesses either don’t have one or leave it half-finished.
Step 1: Claim and verify it
Search your business name on Google. If a listing exists, claim it; if not, create one at google.com/business. Complete Google’s verification — usually by video or postcard. An unverified profile won’t rank.
Step 2: Fill in everything
- Exact business name (as it appears in real life — no keyword stuffing).
- The most accurate primary category, plus relevant secondary ones.
- Phone, WhatsApp, website, hours and service area.
- At least 8–10 real photos of your work, premises or team.
Step 3: Keep it active
Post updates and offers, add new photos, and answer questions. Google favours active profiles, and customers trust a business that clearly looks open and current.
Step 4: Earn and answer reviews
Ask happy customers for honest reviews and reply to every one — positive or negative. Reviews are one of the strongest local ranking and trust signals. Never buy fake reviews; it can get your profile suspended.
Step 5: Connect it to your website
Link your profile to a fast website that names your service and area, and add your address/area consistently on both. The profile and the site reinforce each other — that’s exactly how we set up local sites across Sharjah.
No time to set it up? We’ll create and optimise your Google Business Profile as part of any website, or on its own — done properly, the first time.
