Plenty of Sharjah businesses have a website that looks fine but does nothing — no calls, no bookings, no enquiries. Usually it’s missing a few basics. Here are the five that matter most, in order of impact.
01It loads fast on a phone
Most of your customers are on mobile, often on the move. If your site takes more than a few seconds to load, a big share of visitors leave before they even see it — and Google notices slow sites too. A modern, lightweight, mobile-first build is the foundation everything else sits on. If your current site feels sluggish on your own phone, that’s your first fix.
02It says what you do and where — instantly
A visitor should understand, within two seconds of landing, what you offer and which area you serve. “Family dental clinic in Al Majaz, Sharjah” beats a clever slogan every time. Clear headings, plain language, and your service + area named up front help both people and Google understand you. Vague or overly “creative” homepages lose customers who aren’t sure they’re in the right place.
03It’s effortless to contact you
Every extra tap loses people. Make contact unmissable:
- A click-to-call button that dials on mobile.
- A WhatsApp button — how most UAE customers prefer to reach out.
- A short enquiry form and a clickable map or service area.
- Your hours, so people know when you’re open.
If a customer has to hunt for your number, they’ll message a competitor instead.
04The SEO basics are in place
Being findable isn’t magic — it’s groundwork. At minimum your site needs proper page titles and descriptions, headings that mention your service and area, fast loading, and a connected, optimised Google Business Profile. That’s what gets you into local “near me” searches. Ongoing local SEO and blogging then build on it over time. (No honest provider promises a specific ranking position — be wary of anyone who does.)
05It gives people a reason to trust you
People buy from businesses that feel real and credible. Add genuine Google reviews, real photos of your work, team or premises (not stock images), clear pricing or “from” guidance, and — for many Sharjah audiences — an Arabic version of the site. These trust signals are often the difference between a visitor and a customer.
